Pop superstar Katy Perry appeared to allude to her rumoured relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during her London concert on Monday night.
The Grammy-nominated singer, who is currently on her Lifetimes Tour, made a playful comment while performing at The O2 Arena, saying:
“You’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school? No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time.”
Perry — who has previously dated English stars Russell Brand and Orlando Bloom — then added, “But not anymore,” a remark fans believe was a subtle reference to Trudeau.
Rumours of a romance between the two began after TMZ published photos of them having dinner together at a restaurant in Montreal, where they were reportedly seen “sipping cocktails” and “sharing dishes” under the watch of Trudeau’s security detail.
Days later, Trudeau was spotted in the crowd at Katy’s Montreal concert and, more recently, the pair were photographed kissing and embracing aboard a yacht off the coast of California.
The alleged relationship surfaced just weeks after Perry and her long-time fiancé Orlando Bloom confirmed their separation after nearly a decade together. Despite the split, the two have remained amicable and were later seen on vacation with their daughter Daisy and Bloom’s teenage son, Flynn.
Trudeau, meanwhile, has been single since August 2023, following his separation from his wife of 18 years, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
