Nigerian preacher and motivational speaker Pastor Tolu Odukoya has finally addressed the rumours surrounding her marriage, confirming that she and her husband have gone their separate ways.
The revelation came during a recent episode of her podcast, “Truth Table With Toluwani,” where she spoke candidly about her personal journey and the emotional challenges she has faced in recent years.
Pastor Tolu, daughter of the late pastors Bimbo and Taiwo Odukoya, explained that her marriage quietly ended some time ago due to circumstances beyond her control.
“Most people don’t know that my husband and I have separated due to circumstances beyond my control. You don’t get into a marriage to leave a marriage. When your marriage is over, it is like a death,” she said.
She went on to reflect on the series of painful losses she has endured, including the deaths of her father, stepmother, and aunt — all within a short period.
“I have experienced a couple of deaths: the death of my marriage, my stepmom, my dad, and my dad’s twin sister. All these happened within 24 months (2021–2023),” she added.
Despite the heartbreak, Pastor Tolu spoke with grace about her ex-husband, describing him as a “great man,” but noted that sometimes, two people are simply not destined to be together.
“He’s a great man, but when two people are not ordained by God to be together, staying married becomes difficult,” she said.
Her openness has sparked conversations online, with many praising her honesty and strength in addressing such a sensitive topic publicly.
