Nigerian singer and songwriter Seyi Shay has opened up about her relationship with the father of her child.
The Yolo Yolo crooner, who welcomed her daughter in 2022, revealed that she maintains a healthy and respectful relationship with her child’s father.
Speaking in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, Seyi Shay shared that the two are on good terms and have found a great balance in co-parenting their daughter.
“It’s a technical issue, you understand? But he’s great, he’s cool, he’s around. He’s Nigerian, he’s in the UK at the moment, and he’s also in the music industry on the corporate side of things. We just work together, raising our child, and we are great friends,” she said.
Seyi Shay, who is known for hit songs like Right Now, Murda, and Gimme Love, described him as a great person and confirmed that their focus remains on giving their daughter the best upbringing possible.
The singer has kept details about her partner private since giving birth, often emphasizing her desire to protect her child’s privacy while balancing motherhood and her music career.
