Billie Eilish has publicly criticised Elon Musk for allegedly hoarding vast amounts of wealth, taking her concerns to Instagram Stories on Thursday. The Birds of a Feather singer re-shared a carousel from an account called My Voice, My Choice, which carried the headline, “Elon Musk became the world’s first trillionaire here’s what he could do with it.”
In the shared slides, the content creator outlined ways the Tesla co-founder could reportedly use his massive fortune to address pressing global issues, including efforts to “end world hunger” and “save endangered species”.
One of the slides further claimed that “(Elon could) choose to spend $40 billion every year to end world hunger by 2030 or provide universal safe clean water $140 billion for the planet for the next seven years.”
Billie Eilish closed her repost with a sharp message directed at Musk, writing, “F**king pathetic p**sy b**ch coward.”
So far, representatives for Musk have not responded to the Ocean Eyes singer’s remarks.
Musk remains the world’s richest individual, with his net worth estimated at about $500 billion. Just last week, Tesla shareholders approved a pay package for the chief executive valued at nearly $1 trillion. The compensation plan spans the next decade and hinges on Musk hitting multiple business milestones—successfully doing so would officially make him the world’s first trillionaire.
Despite his influence, Musk continues to draw mixed reactions from the public. He has faced criticism for advising U.S. President Donald Trump and for launching the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) earlier this year. His involvement with the administration ended in September after a fallout with the president.
