Nigerian singer Ruger has addressed recent online chatter about his relationship with Davido, clarifying that there is no tension between the two artists.
The controversy started when a fan page dedicated to Davido posted a teasing message directed at Ruger:
“When you’re ready to apologize and beg Davido publicly, your song will enter No. 1.”
Ruger responded promptly, questioning the basis of the claim:
“And did Davido tell you I did anything wrong to him?”
In a follow-up post, Ruger expressed admiration and respect for Davido while dismissing the notion of a rift. He wrote:
“I love Davido and I know he loves me too. People on his team still repost my stuff. I will never believe this agenda that he doesn’t f with me unless he says it to my face or publicly. But if him talk am, everywhere go first blur sha.”*
Ruger’s statements make it clear that the supposed feud is largely fan-driven and not reflective of the artists’ actual relationship.
