The National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has revealed that he personally spent more than ₦756 million to support President Bola Tinubu’s 2023 election campaign.
In a viral video circulating on social media, MC Oluomo claimed that the money came entirely from his own pocket, emphasizing that he received no financial assistance from Abuja or any government source during the campaign period.
“I spent ₦756 million of my own money during the campaign. Nobody from Abuja gave me a dime. I paid for hotels and took care of everyone working day and night for Asiwaju’s victory,” he said.
According to him, the expenses included hotel accommodations, logistics, and daily stipends for Nollywood actors, actresses, and other campaign workers.
He disclosed that he booked 140 hotel rooms at ₦45,000 per night for four months, in addition to covering the daily allowances of those who worked tirelessly for Tinubu’s electoral victory.
MC Oluomo, a long-time ally of President Tinubu, reaffirmed his commitment and loyalty ahead of the 2027 elections, pledging to contribute even more to ensure Tinubu’s re-election.
“We’re not resting. 2027 is around the corner, and we’re already working to make sure Asiwaju wins again,” he declared.
