Hollywood actor Jeremy Renner is facing serious allegations from Chinese filmmaker Yi Zhou, who claims the Hawkeye star sent her unsolicited explicit images and later threatened to contact U.S. immigration authorities (ICE) after a dispute.
Zhou, 34, who collaborated with the 54-year-old Marvel actor on a documentary and animated film, made the claims in a series of Instagram posts this week. She alleged that Jeremy Renner initially reached out to her via direct message and WhatsApp in June 2025, sending her “a string of unwanted / unsolicited pornographic images of himself.”
According to Zhou, what began as a professional connection evolved into a romantic relationship. However, tensions reportedly escalated during a meeting at Renner’s home in Reno, Nevada, regarding their documentary project, Chronicles of Disney.
“I was discussing the documentary logistics, then he drank a bottle of wine alone and got angry and angry, yelling for two hours,” Zhou told Daily Mail.
“I had to share my location with my team, my parents, and Disney colleagues in case something happened. I locked myself in a room praying he wouldn’t come in. I was so scared for my life.”
Zhou provided the outlet with alleged text exchanges between her and her Disney colleagues during the incident, in which she described Jeremy Renner as “violent” and expressed fear for her safety.
In one of her Instagram posts, Zhou also accused Jeremy Renner of threatening to call ICE on her after she confronted him about his behavior.
“When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to respect me as a woman and filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me,” she wrote. “It deeply shocked and frightened me.”
Screenshots shared with Daily Mail appear to show Renner replying, “Immigration will be notified of your —” after Zhou called him a “pig” and told him to “go to hell.”
In another post, Zhou described her experience as “a story of survival against domestic aggression, porn abuse, and workplace abuse.”
Zhou previously told Daily Mail last month that she and Renner were romantically involved, saying, “We have been in a relationship. He found new love with me.”
Jeremy Renner has not publicly commented on the latest allegations.
The actor, best known for his roles in The Avengers and Mayor of Kingstown, has faced prior controversy. His ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco, accused him in 2014 of threats, substance abuse, and unsafe behavior during their divorce proceedings — claims Renner has denied. The former couple share joint custody of their 12-year-old daughter, Ava.
