Nollywood actress Uche Elendu has dismissed reports suggesting she is set to walk down the aisle soon.
The actress, in an interview with celebrity journalist Stella Dimoko Korkus (SDK), addressed the viral rumours claiming she was planning a lavish celebrity wedding.
According to Elendu, she has been inundated with congratulatory calls and messages over the alleged marriage plans — a development she described as “fake news.”
“I was shocked when people started calling to congratulate me. There are no wedding plans anywhere,” she reportedly told SDK.
Elendu added that while she is flattered by the public interest in her personal life, she is not currently in any relationship and will personally make an announcement when she decides to tie the knot.
SDK also noted that the actress, who is “seriously under the weather,” emphasized that she prefers to set the record straight herself rather than let speculation spread.
“There are too many fake news stories out there, and people don’t even know which to believe,” Elendu said. “When I’m ready to make any move, I’ll announce it myself.”
