L.A Dodgers Players Fire Back at Drake’s Trolling After Back-to-Back World Series Win

Judge Dismisses Drake’s Defamation Lawsuit Against UMG Over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”

The Los Angeles Dodgers just clinched their second consecutive World Series title — but not without a little extra drama, courtesy of Drake. The rapper, a known Toronto Blue Jays fan, tried to stir the pot during the series by trolling Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani on Instagram.

When the Dodgers were trailing 3–2, Drake posted an old photo of Ohtani with a caption that read:

“Savage already otw to the dugout boss lol.”

While it might have seemed like harmless banter to fans, the Dodgers didn’t take it lightly. Speaking to TMZ Sports, infielder Miguel Rojas admitted that Drake’s comments rubbed the team the wrong way.

“I try to stay humble, don’t talk too much. But that doesn’t go unnoticed, you know?” Rojas said. “When you disrespect the best player in the game without understanding the kind of person he is or what he’s done for baseball, that’s hard to ignore. We lost Game 3, Yesavage threw a really good game, and we were just praising the guy. Then all of a sudden, we got this guy [Drake] right here. You don’t have to do that, man.”

Rojas went on to explain that Kiké Hernández’s emotional reaction after the Dodgers’ win was, in part, a response to the trolling. “We all saw it right away,” Rojas added. “We weren’t happy about it. But we had to finish the game — finish the business.”

In the end, the Dodgers did just that, silencing critics and clinching the championship despite the distractions. And, in true internet fashion, fans quickly flipped the script on Drake after the Blue Jays’ loss — roasting him across social media.

Whether it was Kendrick Lamar fans enjoying some payback or baseball fans simply relishing the moment, the rapper became the butt of countless jokes.

Still, knowing Drake, this won’t be the last word. With his upcoming album ICEMAN expected to drop soon, he’ll likely have his own way of getting the last laugh.

For now, though, it seems the Dodgers had the final say — both on the field and off it.
