Nigerian influencer and entrepreneur Laura Ikeji has penned a touching message to her first daughter, Laurel, expressing deep love and admiration for her.
Taking to her Instagram page, Laura shared adorable photos of herself and her daughter, describing Laurel as her “Ada” — a term used to refer to a first daughter in Igbo culture.
“My first daughter, my Ada, Adadioranma, Ada dollla, Ada mummy ya.
I love u and can’t wait to one day see u do this with your own family,” she wrote.
The fashion entrepreneur, who is married to former footballer Christopher Kanu, also opened up about the realities of parenting a newborn in a separate Instagram post.
Laura revealed that she and her husband hardly get any sleep, often staying awake until 3–4 a.m. every day to take turns caring for their baby. She humorously wondered how her husband still manages to hit the gym early in the morning despite their sleepless nights.
“My husband and I don’t sleep until 3–4 a.m. every day because we take turns caring for the baby. I honestly don’t know how he still wakes up every morning to go to the gym,” she shared.
