“If you are kind enough to provide the name of the airline” – NCAA Seeks Details After Mid-Flight Fight Between Social Media Stars VDM and Mr Jollof

NCAA launches mobile platform to address flight delays and passenger compensation

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has called for urgent information following a shocking mid-flight altercation involving social media personalities VeryDarkMan (VDM) and Mr Jollof.

The incident occurred on Monday and was captured in a video showing the two men grappling in the airplane aisle while fellow passengers tried to intervene.

Reacting to the footage, NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, took to X, writing:

“If you are kind enough to provide the name of the airline in whose aircraft this incident occurred, and the date, it would help investigations.”

The cause of the fight remains unclear. Reports indicate the argument began before take-off, but neither the airline nor the passengers involved have released official statements.

VDM and Mr Jollof have a long-standing online feud. Previously, VDM accused Mr Jollof and his wife of defamation, claiming his home address was leaked online, forcing him to stay in a hotel for safety.

In October 2024, Mr Jollof’s wife filed a N500 million defamation lawsuit against VDM, demanding a public apology across media platforms.

The tension worsened after VDM allegedly dragged Mr Jollof’s wife into their drama, accusing her of “sleeping with Yahoo boys,” which sparked further heated exchanges online.
