Paris Hilton has addressed resurfaced claims that Ghislaine Maxwell once attempted to recruit her for Jeffrey Epstein, after a former acquaintance alleged Maxwell believed the young heiress would be “perfect for him.”
According to earlier reports, Hilton — now 44 — was just 19 years old when Maxwell allegedly spotted her at a party and expressed interest in introducing her to Epstein, the convicted sex offender who died in prison in 2019. Maxwell, who dated Epstein in the 1990s, was later convicted for her role as his chief recruiter in his trafficking network.
Despite the long-standing allegations, Hilton is now clarifying that she has no memory of ever meeting Maxwell.
Speaking in a new interview with the Sunday Times magazine, the entrepreneur and reality star suggested she may have been pulled into the narrative simply because of her fame:
“I’m such a good clickbait name,” she said.
The claims about Maxwell’s intentions were first made in 2020 by Christopher Mason, a British journalist who once moved in Maxwell’s social circle.
Mason alleged that Maxwell stopped in her tracks upon seeing a young Hilton at a party and exclaimed, “Oh my god,” before telling a friend, “She’d be perfect for Jeffrey… can you introduce us?”
Although Mason did not pinpoint the exact date, the alleged encounter likely took place around 2000, shortly after Hilton signed with Donald Trump’s modeling agency, T Management, and was rising to public prominence.
Meanwhile, the renewed attention comes amid growing political interest in the so-called Epstein Files.
In a shift from his earlier position, President Donald Trump is now urging House Republicans to support the release of the extensive trove of Justice Department documents tied to the Epstein investigation.
The files include interviews with victims as well as materials seized from Epstein’s properties, with over 20,000 pages already released from the disgraced financier’s estate.
The documents reveal that Epstein repeatedly discussed Trump in private communications between 2011 and 2019, further fuelling public curiosity.
As for Hilton, she maintains that whether Maxwell had intentions or not, she has no recollection of any such encounter, distancing herself from the scandal and the years-long speculation surrounding it.
