Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has sparked concern among fans after breaking down in tears in a new video, expressing emotional exhaustion and frustration over her family’s ongoing ordeal and declaring, “I give up.”
In the emotional clip shared via her Instagram Story in the early hours of Friday, the mother of two appeared visibly distressed as she revealed she was struggling mentally and emotionally.
“I tried. I feel like I’m going crazy, I’m losing my mind, and it’s not making any sense. I’m really crying in front of everybody,” she said tearfully.
The actress’s emotional outburst comes just a day after she celebrated her parents’ reconciliation, describing it as one of the happiest moments of her life. According to her, her once-estranged parents reunited in Abuja solely for her happiness.
“Two concluded sworn enemies reuniting with no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness,” she wrote in a previous post.
However, the joy quickly turned to despair as Regina revealed that her parents were currently in Abuja working together to secure the release of her brother, Sammy West, who has allegedly been in police detention for days.
“Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long, but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me!” she declared.
In another video shared by the actress, fellow Nollywood star Mercy Johnson was seen searching for Sammy. “He’s not here,” Mercy could be heard saying as she continued looking for him.
Amid tears, Regina hinted that she might return to her husband, Ned Nwoko, seemingly suggesting that doing so might resolve the issue.
“But please, what am I even begging for? I don’t know. Do you guys think it’s easy? Every time I wake up, I say one thing — oh my brother, today I hear good news, he’s about to be free, then tomorrow I hear another thing. Like, what’s the problem? But I’ve tried. I have to go. I will go back,” she said emotionally.
Her statement raised eyebrows after she shared another disturbing post accusing the Nigerian Police Force of corruption and hinting that her brother’s detention was politically influenced.
“I give up! What was my brother’s offense? Fighting for his baby sister because his in-law would always beat her up? I actually accorded the Nigerian police some respect but shame on you all! It’s obvious the highest bidder always wins. Now I’m crippled! I will return if that’s the only way — do whatever he says, get injected to be like a zombie, get locked up and raped in the house. Only then will my brother return. Because by law, there is no tangible case against Sammy West! Ned Nwoko is bigger than the whole of Nigeria, that’s what this means. We lost, or rather, I lost!” she wrote.
This breakdown follows weeks of public speculation about trouble in her marriage. In October, a viral video showed Regina in tears, claiming she was suffering from domestic violence.
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much,” she had said then.
However, Ned Nwoko denied the allegations, insisting Regina was battling “drug and alcohol abuse” and needed rehabilitation — a claim that divided public opinion.
On Wednesday, the actress again appealed to fans to stop attacking her mother, describing her as her “pillar and protector.”
As of the time of this report, the Nigerian Police Force has not issued any official statement regarding Sammy West’s alleged detention, while social media continues to buzz with concern and prayers for Regina Daniels and her family.
