Controversial activist VeryDarkMan (VDM) has stirred up fresh controversy online after resurfacing an old video of actress Regina Daniels condemning protesters who spoke out against bad governance in Nigeria.
In the viral clip, Regina was seen criticising a group of demonstrators who waved a Russian flag during a protest in northern Nigeria. She cautioned that such actions could easily spread to other parts of the country, including the South.
The actress, however, clarified at the time that she wasn’t speaking for the government or seeking public validation, saying she didn’t need Nigerians’ love to express her opinion.
“I’m not saying this for the government, and I’m not saying this so Nigerians can love me — I don’t need such love,” she had said in the old video.
VDM, who reposted the video on X (formerly Twitter), mocked Regina Daniels for her comments and linked her current emotional struggles to past insensitivity toward Nigerians suffering under bad governance.
“Throwback video of ‘it’s-better-to-cry-in-a-Lambo’ insulting protesters — the innocent Nigerians her husband and other politicians made life difficult for. She deserved everything she’s getting. This is Karma,” VDM wrote.
His post immediately sparked mixed reactions across social media, with many Nigerians either defending Regina or agreeing with VDM’s statement.
A user, @D_emo_3, wrote:
“Make una forgive am for this, she no know watin she dey talk.”
Another user, @Sanchman, added humorously:
“I’m counting my money, I can’t hear you — and now it’s pounds lol.”
@DarekJaden chimed in, saying:
“Karma is a bitch. Abeg make una leave am make she dey cry for Lambo.”
Another user, Lady Victoria, commented:
“Wetin poor man pikin like me wan do for rich man’s wife? Nothing. Make she dey go back her husband’s house.”
She continued,
“She was very comfortable here. All these are just husband and wife fights — they’ll definitely settle.”
The old clip’s reemergence comes amid Regina Daniels’ ongoing family crisis and emotional breakdown, where she recently shared a series of videos expressing mental and emotional distress while pleading for her brother’s release from police custody.
