Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has issued a fiery response to Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) President, Emeka Rollas, after he suggested that she is in need of help.
According to Tori News, Rollas took to Instagram on Thursday, claiming that many Nollywood colleagues are aware of Regina’s alleged health challenges but prefer to speak ill of her behind her back.
He also referenced an incident involving senior actors such as Okey Bakassi, Chinyere Wilfred, and Jide Kosoko, saying they had witnessed Regina’s behaviour on set and knew she needed assistance.
Rollas further recalled that Regina’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, once raised concerns about her health during their son’s birthday celebration.
He also criticized Regina’s mother, Rita Daniels, for pursuing her ambition to become AGN President, insisting her daughter’s well-being should be a priority.
While dismissing rumours that Nwoko funds the guild, Rollas condemned the lawmaker for making Regina’s alleged health issues public.
Regina Daniels Responds
Reacting via Instagram, Regina Daniels accused Rollas of harbouring bitterness toward her because she once stopped him from bringing women to her home under the guise of swimming lessons.
The actress also questioned Rollas’ achievements as AGN President, alleging that he spends more time visiting wealthy men with women than improving the welfare of actors.
She wrote:
“AGN President, respectfully, there must be something wrong with you sir! To say I need help? You have no business spewing nonsense about my family or my mum who always sang your praises… You are a disgrace of a president who just visits one office to the other enriching his pocket in the guise of catering to actors’ wellbeing.”
Regina accused Rollas of failing to implement any meaningful reforms in his eight-year tenure and insisted that the only notable project achieved under him—the newly opened AGN office—was largely sponsored by her family.
She further alleged that Rollas had been financially motivated to publicly criticise her:
“I already know, so I can say for a fact that you were paid chicken change to speak nonsense about a child that benefited under your administration. My mother introduced you to my ex-husband, so you should be thankful.”
Defending her mother’s bid for the AGN Presidency, Regina said Rita Daniels has paid her dues in the industry and deserves to lead.
“In support of my mother’s election, I feel like she has paid her dues and would be a perfect figurehead to represent actors… A movie industry with beauty needs a beautiful chairlady. I don’t like rubbish.”
The exchange has sparked intense reactions online, as fans and colleagues weigh in on the escalating feud within the Actors Guild of Nigeria.
