British-Nigerian author Toni Tone has revealed that she and her husband, Taye, have complete access to each other’s phones — a decision she says is rooted in trust and transparency.
Toni Tone, who married Taye in September 2025, made the revelation during a question-and-answer session with her followers on Wednesday, November 19.
Responding to a question about phone privacy in marriage, the writer explained that she and her husband maintain an open-device policy because they believe transparency is essential to building a healthy relationship.
However, she stressed that intentionally searching through a partner’s phone in hopes of finding something suspicious signals a deeper issue that must be addressed within the relationship. According to her, trust should be the foundation, not surveillance.
