NFL star Stefon Diggs is pushing back hard against shocking accusations made about him online — and he’s doing it through the courts.
Diggs has filed a defamation lawsuit against social media personality Christopher Blake Griffith, who recently alleged that the Patriots wide receiver drugged him, sexually assaulted him, and even attempted to have him killed. Diggs’ lawsuit describes the claims as “sensationalized fiction” manufactured for online attention.
According to the filing, Diggs and Griffith briefly crossed paths in May 2023 during an outing after a charity basketball event. Diggs states that he ended the night by going to bed, while his assistant escorted Griffith out of the residence. However, more than two years later, Griffith returned to social media with explosive allegations, tagging Stefon Diggs, the NFL, the New England Patriots, and one of Diggs’ major sponsors.
In his posts, Griffith claimed Steffon Diggs plotted to have him killed to “suppress his gay/bisexual secrets from being exposed.”
Stefon Diggs maintains that Griffith knowingly fabricated events he never attended, claiming the influencer deliberately spread falsehoods that damaged his reputation and livelihood.
Griffith’s representatives, however, insist he is the true victim and stands by his allegations.
With both sides entrenched and the accusations gaining widespread attention, the case is shaping up to be a contentious legal showdown likely to draw significant public scrutiny.
