Popular Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has pushed back against claims made by Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, insisting that she did not lie about her allegations against him.
Tori News had earlier reported that Okafor, while tendering a public apology to the actress on Sunday amid a flurry of allegations, stated that some of the claims made against him were false.
Ogala had earlier accused the cleric of breaching an alleged promise to marry her, a claim that subsequently triggered a series of controversies surrounding the pastor. Through her lawyers, Synergy Law Partners, the actress formally demanded N1 billion in compensation in a letter dated December 16, 2025, citing emotional distress and other damages.
The situation reportedly escalated earlier in the week after additional allegations from Okafor’s children.
During his sermon on Sunday, Okafor apologised to Ogala and others he said he may have offended, while disputing the veracity of some allegations.
“To the lady called Doris Ogala, mistakes have been made in the past and I tender apologies to everybody.
There are so many lies in most of what was said; however, I am sorry to everyone I have offended. To Doris Ogala, I am so sorry and I apologise. I am ready to make restitution to anyone that I have offended,” he said.
Reacting to the apology, Ogala expressed displeasure with the pastor’s remark suggesting that her claims were lies. In a post shared on her Facebook page, the actress maintained that she had been truthful throughout the controversy.
“Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there is a problem where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie,” she wrote.
The dispute continues to generate widespread public attention, with many calling for restraint as the matter unfolds.
