Content creator Carter Efe has revealed that he was stopped by Burna Boy’s security team while attempting to approach the singer at the Iconiq Fest in Lagos.
The comedian and streamer disclosed during a TikTok live session, briefly recounting the incident.
“His bouncer stopped me,” Carter Efe said, without providing further details about the encounter.
The revelation comes just days after Carter Efe attracted widespread attention online following a high-profile appearance by Afrobeats superstar Davido on his Twitch livestream.
The session drew tens of thousands of live viewers and reportedly pushed Carter Efe past 400,000 followers, earning him recognition as Africa’s most-followed Twitch streamer at the time.
During the livestream, Davido spoke warmly about Carter Efe’s partnership with fellow creator Kolu, comparing it to his own long-standing friendship with Israel DMW.
“I’ve been seeing the relationship between you and Kolu. It’s just as how people laugh at me and Israel,” Davido said.
The singer also shared his thoughts on the future of Afrobeats, predicting that Asake, Omah Lay and Rema are next in line to dominate the global scene after himself, Burna Boy and Wizkid.
Burna Boy and Davido remain two of Nigeria’s most influential music exports, each commanding massive international followings.
Over the years, their relationship has been marked by moments of rivalry and reconciliation, making any interaction involving them — directly or indirectly — a subject of intense public interest.
Carter Efe’s comments have since sparked conversations online, with fans debating celebrity access, security protocols at major events and the growing influence of digital creators within the entertainment industry.
