Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has announced plans to take legal action against Pastor Chris Okafor, alleging that the cleric reneged on a promise to marry her and instead married another woman.
Speaking during a live interview, Ogala claimed that Okafor made a firm commitment to marriage, which she says forms the basis of her intended lawsuit. According to her, she is prepared to present evidence in court to back up her claims.
The actress admitted that she was involved in a phone-based romantic relationship with Okafor while she was still married, describing the situation as a mistake. She maintained, however, that Okafor was fully aware of her marital status at the time.
“I am suing Chris because he promised me marriage and that’s a crime in the law; he left me for another woman. I have proof, I have evidence. He’ll hear from my lawyer very soon,” she stated.
Ogala also revealed that media personality Daddy Freeze had cautioned her about the possible legal implications of making such claims publicly, but she insisted she was ready to face the consequences.
At the time of reporting, Pastor Chris Okafor has not made any public statement in response to the allegations.
