Manchester City have cut Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League table to just two points following a convincing away victory at Selhurst Park.
City went into the clash after Arsenal claimed a 2-1 win over Wolves on Saturday, a result that temporarily stretched the Gunners’ advantage to five points. However, Pep Guardiola’s side responded on Sunday to keep the title race tight.
Despite a bright and energetic start from the hosts, City survived early pressure and took control before halftime, with Erling Haaland rising highest to head the visitors into the lead.
In the second half, Phil Foden doubled the club advantage with a powerful strike, before Haaland sealed the win late on by converting from the penalty spot.
