I was not given enough time at AC Milan – Super Eagles star Chukwueze

Chukwueze Undergoes Medicals At AC Milan As He Nears Dream Move

Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has admitted that he did not get sufficient time or opportunities to prove himself during his spell at AC Milan.

The 26-year-old, who joined Fulham on a season-long loan from the Italian giants in the summer, struggled to make a significant impact at the San Siro after arriving from Villarreal three years ago.

Since moving to the Premier League, Chukwueze has rediscovered his form, scoring two goals and providing four assists in nine league appearances for Fulham.

Reflecting on his time in Italy, the Nigerian international suggested that English football better suits his playing style.

“I don’t think I was given the time or the opportunities I needed,” Chukwueze was quoted as saying. “But that’s football. I just have to keep working. English football probably suits my style better than Italian tactics.”

Despite his current success in England, Chukwueze maintained that his relationship with AC Milan remains intact.

“I miss Milan. It’s my second home,” he said. “My family are still there, and I wish the club all the best. I’m still a Milan player because I’m only on loan.”
