Super Eagles and Fulham winger, Samuel Chukwueze, has been thrown into mourning following the death of his mother, Mrs. Sarah Chukwueze, after a brief illness.
The sad development was made public by his brother, David Chukwueze, who shared emotional posts on Instagram announcing the loss and paying tribute to their late mother.
While full details surrounding her illness were not disclosed, the posts reflected the family’s deep grief and sense of loss. Messages of condolence have since poured in from fans, teammates and members of the football community.
The tragic news comes just two days after Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi, also lost his father in a road accident in Delta State, casting a sombre mood over the national team.
