Nigerian singer Bigiano has revealed that he wrote the popular hit song Dami Duro for fellow artist Davido.
In a recent interview with content creator Akin Abolade, the Shayo crooner specifically claimed responsibility for the song’s hook, saying, “I wrote Dami Duro for Davido. I wrote the hook.”
Speaking about his absence from the music scene, Bigiano explained that he took a break to prepare for a strong comeback, noting, “Sometimes, you have to take a break to be able to come back again. I went on a sabbatical to make my return to music massive.”
He also assured fans that despite his hiatus, he is financially secure, stressing, “I can’t be broke.”
Dami Duro, released in 2011, propelled Davido to stardom and has been recognized by fans and critics as one of the greatest Afrobeats songs of all time. However, Bigiano is not officially credited as a co-writer of the track, and Davido has yet to respond to the claims.
