Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has claimed he is Nigeria’s most criticised politician after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Wike made the remark on Saturday while addressing Peoples Democratic Party stakeholders in Ochigba, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, during an end-of-year thanksgiving event organised by former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche.
According to Wike, he attracts criticism because of his firm stance on honouring political agreements, especially those meant to protect the interests of his supporters.
“After Tinubu, the next most abused politician today is me,” he said, stressing that agreements must be respected and implemented once reached.
He added that his political camp remains committed to supporting President Tinubu, insisting that the decision was taken long ago and would not change.
