Yvonne Jegede Clears Air on Annie Macaulay Relationship Amid Backlash Over Event Invitation

Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has addressed public criticism surrounding her decision to invite singer 2Baba and his new wife, Natasha Osawaru, to an event she hosted, clarifying that she has no personal relationship with his estranged wife, Annie Macaulay.

According to the actress, the assumptions and accusations of betrayal directed at her were unfair and unfounded.

“There was never any reason for us to unfollow each other. I’ve never followed her before, and she has never followed me before,” she explained. “Apart from the African Queen video, I don’t think anybody has seen us together before.”

Yvonne further clarified that the video shoot was strictly professional, with no personal bond formed afterward.

“I walked into a studio, I shot my part, and I left, and that was it. It’s been 21 years. If I have seen her, maybe twice or three times in my entire life,” she said.

Expressing displeasure at how the situation was portrayed online, the actress criticised bloggers and social media users for labeling her a backstabber.
