Nigerian skitmaker Shank Comics has responded after an old tweet in which he praised Sean “Diddy” Combs’ “mindset” resurfaced and triggered strong criticism online.
In the resurfaced post, Shank had expressed admiration for Diddy’s “perspective to the grind” and his ability to evolve, although he added that the music mogul eventually “got lost in the pursuit of power.”
Months later — amid renewed scrutiny of Diddy following multiple serious allegations — Shank issued a detailed clarification, firmly distancing himself from the embattled American producer.
According to the comedian, the tweet was a “misguided attempt” to reference a fictional villain’s character arc, but it was poorly phrased and appeared to express real-life admiration for Diddy.
He acknowledged that the post was irresponsible and stressed that he does not support, defend, or admire Diddy in any capacity.
The skitmaker added that the allegations against Diddy are horrific, and stated that anyone found guilty of such behaviour should face the full consequences of their actions.
