President Bola Tinubu has described the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as one of the shining stars in his cabinet while celebrating the minister on his birthday.
In a statement signed on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, Tinubu congratulated the former Rivers State governor, commending his courage, resilience, and dedication to public service.
The President expressed gratitude to God for Wike’s life, noting that it has been marked by purpose, service, and bravery. He described the FCT Minister as a bold leader who continues to deliver results despite facing challenges.
Tinubu highlighted the ongoing transformation of Abuja under Wike’s leadership, pointing to his success in ending the 14-year stalemate over the construction of the Apo–Karshi road as a key achievement.
According to the President, Wike’s performance has further reinforced his long-standing reputation as “Mr Project,” stressing that the nickname is no longer confined to his time as governor of Rivers State.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers.
“I commend him for being one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he belongs to another party and wish him well as he marks another year in his life journey”.
The President thanked the minister for his continued efforts to improve infrastructure and governance in the FCT and wished him good health and strength to sustain his work.
