YouTube has unveiled its official 2025 Nigeria Year-in-Review, highlighting the music videos, creators, and entertainment content that defined the viewing habits of millions of Nigerians this year.
According to Addy Awofisayo, YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, gospel singer Akinade “Gaise Baba” Ibuoye and Nollywood star Omoni Oboli emerged as the biggest names on the platform for 2025.
Gaise Baba topped the music category with his viral worship anthem, “No Turning Back II”, featuring Lawrence Oyor. Released in mid-May, the video quickly became a nationwide sensation, amassing over 41 million views in just six months and driving massive engagement across social media.
