American rapper A$AP Rocky has shared rare and personal insights into life as a father, opening up about the distinct personalities of his three children with global music star Rihanna.
Speaking during a recent appearance on the NYT Popcast, the 37-year-old rapper, born Rakim Athelaston Mayers, described himself and Rihanna as “cool a** parents” while explaining how different their children are despite their close ages.
According to Rocky, their first son, RZA Athelston Mayers, who is three years old, is the complete opposite of their second son, Riot Rose Mayers, aged two.
“They’re about 14 months apart. So, they’re really close, but [RZA] is really antisocial,” Rocky said.
“And my second son [Riot] is just a socialite at this point. He wants to steal the room when he comes in. He’s addicted to cotton candy and likes typical little kid stuff.”
The rapper added that RZA is far more reserved, noting that his first son has never eaten candy and actively dislikes it.
“He never ate candy a day in his life and hates it,” Rocky revealed.
Rocky also spoke fondly about their third child, Rocki Irish Mayers, whom Rihanna welcomed on September 13. The baby girl is just four months old but, according to the rapper, has already made a big impact in their home.
“Baby Rocki, man, she’s something. She just kind of took over the whole household,” he said.
He went on to describe her as his exact lookalike, joking that she is his “twin,” and praised her lively personality.
“She looks exactly identical to me. My twin, bro. She’s very talkative at four months, likes to giggle and smile.”
Rocky’s comments have delighted fans, offering a rare glimpse into his family life with Rihanna, a couple known for keeping much of their parenting journey private while occasionally sharing heartfelt moments about their growing family.
