Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has responded humorously to a playful accusation made by her colleague, Funke Akindele, who jokingly claimed that Badmus uses government funds to purchase her jewellery and designer bags.
Badmus currently serves as the Special Assistant on Social Events and Public Hearing to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas.
In a viral video circulating online, Funke Akindele was heard teasing Badmus, alleging that her luxury items were bought with government money.
“You used all the government money to buy jewellery,” Funke joked.
Reacting to the claim, Eniola Badmus quickly dismissed it, making it clear that her wealth comes solely from her personal earnings and not from any government source.
“Your money isn’t in my hands, please. I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Badmus replied. “All I’m wearing is locally made. I used my money to buy them.”
Her response drew laughter and reactions online, with many fans noting the friendly banter between the two actresses.
The exchange has since been widely shared on social media, with viewers applauding Badmus for addressing the joke while also clarifying the source of her lifestyle and fashion choices.
