Aston Villa Sign Tammy Abraham on Permanent Deal

Aston Villa have confirmed the permanent signing of England international Tammy Abraham.

The 28-year-old striker joins the Premier League club from Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas, having only completed a permanent move to the Turkish outfit from AC Milan last summer.

Abraham is no stranger to Villa Park, having previously enjoyed a highly successful spell with the club during the 2018/19 season. He played a pivotal role in Villa’s promotion to the Premier League, scoring 25 league goals and converting the decisive penalty in the shootout victory over West Bromwich Albion that secured qualification for the Play-Off Final at Wembley.

That goalscoring feat saw Abraham become the first Aston Villa player since Andy Gray in the 1976/77 campaign to net 25 goals in a single league season.

Following his departure from Villa, Tammy Abraham went on to achieve major honours at the top level of European football, winning the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea and later helping AS Roma lift the UEFA Europa Conference League.
