The burial arrangements for late gospel musician Omije Ojumi have been officially cancelled following unresolved issues within her family.
The development was announced by her colleague, Lanre Alewilese, in a post shared on Instagram. Speaking on behalf of the burial planning committee, Alewilese explained that internal family crises were responsible for the decision to call off the planned ceremonies.
Confirming the cancellation, he stated, “This is to inform you that all burial plans of our Late Sister & Colleague, Bunmi Akinnaanu has been CANCELLED over issues arising within her family. We’re deeply sorry for inconveniences”.
Creebhills recalls that the planning committee had earlier announced that the late singer was scheduled to be laid to rest on Wednesday, January 20, 2026. However, with the latest development, the burial has been put on hold until further notice.
