“Come to my house and say it” – Lisandro Martinez Fires Back at Paul Scholes

Lisandro Martinez Fires Back at Paul Scholes

Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez has hit back at criticism from club legend Paul Scholes, challenging the former midfielder to address him directly rather than through television commentary.

Martinez made his feelings known after United’s 2-0 victory over Manchester City on Saturday, stressing that his main concern is his performance on the pitch, not opinions shared by pundits off it.

Responding to Scholes’ comments, the Argentine defender made it clear he is unfazed by public criticism. “He can say whatever he wants,” Martinez said.

He went on to add, “I told him already, if he wants to say something to me, he can come to me wherever he wants. To my house, wherever. I don’t care.

“I respect the relationships when they want to help the club because everyone can talk on television.

“But when you see them here at the club face-to-face, no one says anything in your face.

“So I don’t really care what they say. I just put the focus on my performance.”

Martinez’s comments underline his determination to stay focused on contributing to Manchester United on the field, regardless of external criticism from former players or media analysts.
