Veteran Nollywood actress and evangelist Eucharia Anunobi has raised concerns about her personal safety, claiming that her life and ministry are under threat.

In a video shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, Anunobi posted a strongly worded caption alleging that if any harm comes to her, her family, or her possessions, Psalm Okpe, founder of Fresh Oil Ministry, should be held responsible.

“My life is at risk. My ministry is under attack,” the caption read, alongside further claims in which she denied having any sexual relationship since her ordination into ministry and said she was willing to undergo medical examination to substantiate this.

In the accompanying video, Anunobi said she was responding to reports circulating online and alleged attempts to distract or discredit her.

“I want to use this video to give a robust reply to the various stories that have been flying all around. I still remain Apostle Dr. Eucharia Anunobi. And I want to say, your plan to distract me will not prosper,” she said.

Anunobi explained that Apostle Psalm Okpe ordained her into ministry and that she previously served as an associate pastor under him. According to her, she later became uncomfortable with what she described as a toxic environment.

“As time went by, I began to see a lot of evil and demonic things, and especially his continuous engagement in transactional ministry. This left me very uncomfortable,” she alleged.

She stated that she formally requested to leave the ministry in late 2015, but claimed that Okpe continued to represent her as being under his ministry years after her departure.

Addressing further allegations attributed to Okpe, Anunobi denied claims that she had been in a long-term romantic relationship with him.

“Psalm Okpe claimed that he dated me for five years and six months. I am not going to allow that to be swept under the carpet because that malicious and vile statement has left me in emotional trauma,” she said.

She added that the allegation reinforced what she described as long-standing attempts to damage her reputation and ministry, confirming that she has instituted legal action for defamation against Okpe.

The development follows the circulation of a leaked audio recording allegedly involving Okpe and another pastor, containing unverified claims about Anunobi. Okpe later issued an apology, stating that his remarks were careless and based on hearsay.

As of the time of this report, no court has ruled on the allegations, and all claims remain contested and subject to legal determination.
