JUST IN: Dele Momodu Officially Joins ADC

Dele Momodu

Former presidential candidate and media entrepreneur, Dele Momodu, has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Momodu made the announcement on Thursday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, while addressing supporters and associates. He stressed that his decision was driven by a desire to serve the interests of the people, not by personal political ambition.

Speaking at the gathering, Momodu reflected on his long personal journey back to his roots, revealing that it took him more than 50 years of hard work and careful planning to establish a home in Iwe from his modest income.

“So today, nobody can say Dele has no roots in Iwe,” he said, adding that he was formally reintegrating himself into the political process of his home state.

Addressing speculation about his intentions, Momodu was clear that he is not seeking any elective position.

“People have asked me, what do you want? Do you want to be a governor, a senator? No. I just want to promote the best interests of our people,” he stated.

Momodu’s move to the ADC marks a new phase in his political engagement, positioning him as a key voice within the party while maintaining that his focus remains on advocacy and public interest rather than contesting for office.
