Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has raised alarm over what she described as overwhelming and exhausting attention from men on social media, revealing that she receives thousands of marriage proposals in her private messages.
Taking to her Instagram page to vent her frustration, the actress said her inboxes across multiple platforms have become chaotic, with unsolicited messages from men expressing romantic interest pouring in daily.
According to her, the situation has reached a point where blocking accounts and adjusting privacy settings no longer makes any difference.
“I have tried everything I can to change my number on Facebook, but I don’t know. I don’t know which video is trending. I wake up to thousands of messages from different kinds of men. I don block tire,” she said.
Nkechi stressed that although she is currently single, she is not actively searching for a relationship, making the constant barrage of messages even more draining.
“I am single, but I no dey find man. I’m not searching,” she added.
The actress also revealed that her WhatsApp inbox has become particularly overwhelming, with thousands of unread messages.
“My WhatsApp is a mess. I have over 5,000 messages from different kinds of species called men. I am tired. How many be my body wey over 5,000 men wan marry me?” she lamented.
Her candid outburst has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans sympathising with her plight and others joking about the pressures that come with fame and social media visibility.
