Former Big Brother Naija reality show winner, Phyna, has called for reconciliation with singer Davido, two years after their online altercation.
The disagreement began in October 2023 when Davido liked a post on X that described Phyna’s fans as “useless,” a move that sparked backlash.
Reacting at the time while congratulating Davido on the birth of his twins with Chioma, Phyna questioned whether she had done something to deserve his apparent dislike. In response, Davido stated that he did not know who Phyna was, prompting her to reply, “God knows me,” and unfollow the singer on Instagram.
However, during a recent livestream, Phyna expressed her desire to make peace with the music star, saying she would like to go live with Davido.
Revisiting the incident, the reality star said she is willing to publicly apologise to the singer but wants clarity on what led to their fallout.
“If I have the opportunity to stream with Davido, I will take it. Yes, he is senior to me and far bigger than me. I’m ready to tender an apology to him, but before doing that, we need to understand where the quarrel really came from.
“Davido needs to explain whether he liked that comment by mistake and also share his side of the story. When he said ‘I don’t know you,’ it’s possible we took it the wrong way,” she said.
