Singer, reality TV star and media entrepreneur Ray J has spoken out after a frightening health emergency that landed him in the hospital, revealing that his recovery is far from easy.
Speaking to fans after being discharged from a Las Vegas hospital, the 44-year-old gave a raw and emotional account of his ordeal, disclosing that pneumonia and serious heart complications nearly claimed his life.
“I was in the hospital… my heart’s only beating like 25%, but as long as I stay focused and stay on the right path, everything will be all right,” Ray J said during a livestream.
He admitted that his health is “not okay,” explaining that while his mind remains locked in on business, his body is struggling to keep up.
Despite his fragile condition, Ray J used the livestream to announce a new business move, revealing that Tronix Network has partnered with Zeus Network, with plans to produce 25 dating shows in the coming months.
However, the seriousness of his health issues became clear when even minor physical contact caused distress.
“That hurt ’cause I got a bad heart… it threw my equilibrium off, it threw my whole left side off,” he said, recounting how a light tap from his partner affected him.
Ray J also reflected on the emotional toll of the hospitalization, expressing gratitude to those who stood by him during the crisis.
“It’s a few people that’s helped me kind of survive this… just watching me be sick,” he shared.
As the livestream continued, Ray J appeared visibly strained and eventually ended the broadcast to focus on his recovery.
“God damn… trying to breathe… I got to take my pills now. I’m going to go upstairs and heal already,” he said before signing off.
Fans have since flooded social media with messages of support, wishing the star a full and steady recovery.
