Ray J Got Knocked Out by Supa Hot Fire, and Now the Fix Allegations Are Flying

Ray J Opens Up on Health Scare After Hospitalization, Says Recovery Has Been Rough

There was a moment at the pre-fight press conference where Ray J stood up, got in his opponent’s face, and told the crowd he was “ready to die in the ring” for his children.

It was raw, emotional, and genuinely hard to watch. Forty-eight hours later, the man is sitting on a stool with a knot swelling on his forehead and allegations of a rigged fight spilling out of him in real time. The weekend did not go the way he planned.

What Went Down at Brand Risk 14

The co-main event of Brand Risk 14 took place on Saturday, May 23, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, as part of Adin Ross’s growing celebrity combat sports franchise, and was streamed live on Kick and YouTube.

Ray J entered the bout with no prior professional combat sports record. His opponent, DeShawn Raw, better known as Supa Hot Fire, a 35-year-old comedian who turned a 2011 YouTube parody series into an enduring internet character, brought at least some cage experience. Raw carried a 2-3 record heading in, with one knockout to his name.

The first round was almost comically uneventful. Supa Hot Fire refused to throw a punch and danced around the ring for the entirety of round one. If Ray J took that as a sign his opponent was not serious, the second round corrected that assumption immediately.

Supa Hot Fire turned up the pressure, backed Ray J against the ropes, and delivered a clean, decisive right hand. Ray J dropped to the canvas as the referee quickly stepped in to stop the contest.

A prominent knot rapidly swelled on his forehead, and he needed a stool after being attended to by officials. The stoppage came at just 26 seconds into the second round.

The Press Conference Was Already a Scene

The chaos did not start inside the cage. At the pre-fight press conference, Supa Hot Fire showed up wearing a shirt referencing Kim Kardashian, an immediate shot at Ray J’s most infamous chapter, and security had to separate the fighters multiple times after tensions boiled over.

Supa Hot Fire also made pointed references to Ray J’s estranged wife Princess Love, and her reported past romantic connection with Floyd Mayweather Jr., which sent Ray J out of his seat.

Ray J got visibly emotional during the face-off, telling the crowd he was ready to put everything on the line. Given his health history, that statement carried more weight than it otherwise might have.

Then Came the Fix Allegations

The knockout itself was one story; what Ray J said immediately after was another one entirely. Post-fight, he suggested there had been “a plan” in place and raised concerns about financial losses tied to the result, saying: “Damn, bro … like that? We had a plan. Do you know how much money we lost? Wow … wow.”

Adin Ross responded on stream, confirming he would launch a full investigation into the claims and acknowledging the fight looked unusual. “Supa looked like himself in the second round.

Now do I know why Ray J said what he said? No, I don’t. We’re taking that seriously. It looked weird, bro,” Ross said. Ross also stated that he is considering an indefinite ban on both fighters from future Brand Risk events.

Slow-motion clips of the stoppage circulated widely on social media, intensifying debate over whether the contest appeared unusual, though no evidence has been presented to support claims of wrongdoing.

The contrast between Supa Hot Fire’s complete inactivity in the first round and his sudden, explosive finish in the second keeps the conversation alive. It does not prove anything. But it does look strange.

The Bigger Picture

All of this needs to be understood against the backdrop of where Ray J has been physically. Before the fight, he had publicly disclosed serious health issues, revealing his heart was only beating at around 25 percent following a hospitalization for pneumonia.

He discussed the possibility of needing a pacemaker or defibrillator in the future. He had shared a video suggesting he did not have much time left, saying “2027 is definitely a wrap for me.”

Choosing to step into a cage given all of that was a decision only Ray J can fully explain. Whether it was about proving something to himself, his kids, or the public, the outcome was not the statement he was looking for.

A health scare, a second-round knockout, and now a fix investigation nobody saw coming. Whatever Brand Risk 14 was supposed to be for Ray J, it turned out to be something else entirely.
