Popular Nigerian streamer and content creator Carter Efe has publicly confirmed that he and his baby mama, Emmanuella, are no longer together, revealing that their breakup occurred over a year ago.
The streamer made the disclosure in a lengthy and emotional social media outburst, where he reflected on what he described as one of the darkest periods of his life following the separation.
According to Carter Efe, the breakdown of the relationship took a heavy toll on him mentally, emotionally, and financially, affecting his ability to create content and ultimately plunging him into financial hardship.
“Just to let you know guys, I have been single for over one year now. God is good. I saw mad changes in my life. The grind was not ordinary. It was intentional and I’m not stopping anytime soon,” he wrote.
He claimed that the strain from the relationship negatively affected his public image and almost derailed his career, noting that he trended online for reasons unrelated to his work.
“This lady has frustrated my whole life to the extent I trended every day for beating a lady. For good two years, I lost everything. I lost my mindset, I couldn’t think or shoot content, and I got broke,” he added.
Carter Efe also spoke about the emotional pain of being separated from his daughter, Charis, revealing that there was a period when he did not see her for three months.
“For a good three months, I didn’t see my kid, Charis. I never let that hold me down on my grind,” he stated.
He explained that distancing himself from the relationship helped him regain happiness, focus, and consistency, which he believes fans have noticed in his recent online activities.
“These days, you guys noticed I’ve been happy and active. It’s because I was able to move away. I’m aggressively active. God is good,” he said.
The streamer further alleged that Emmanuella left him for several months and later attempted to reconnect after he rose to become one of the leading streamers on the continent.
“You left me for five months only to come back and see that I’m the biggest streamer in Africa,” he wrote.
Carter Efe also shared images of the one-room apartment he and his team once lived and streamed from during their struggles, explaining that they were eventually chased out of the space.
“This is where we slept every day, me and my team, in one room, hoping God would take control one day. We talked to four people on livestream, believing everything would be good,” he recounted.
He emphasized that his relentless grind was driven not by bitterness but by his desire to secure a better future for his daughter.
“I was intentional about grinding not because of anybody but for my kid, Charis, to have a brighter future. God never left my side when the people I loved left me,” he wrote.
Carter Efe also shared a photo of the man Emmanuella is reportedly currently with, adding to the emotional revelations that have since sparked widespread reactions across social media.
