Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is the only political party capable of salvaging Nigeria.
Atiku made the statement on Thursday while joining the campaign trail of Dr. Moses Paul, the ADC chairmanship candidate for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), ahead of the February 21 FCT Local Council elections.
“This morning, I gladly joined the campaign trail of Dr. Moses Paul (Dr Mo), the ADC AMAC Chairmanship Candidate in the February 21 FCT Local Council elections. Our first port of call was Apo Wasa,” Atiku said.
He described Dr. Paul as a candidate young people in Abuja can identify with and trust to lead the municipal council.
“Dr Mo is the kind of Nigerian young people in Abuja can relate to and trust with the future of the Municipal Council,” he stated.
Atiku urged voters in the Federal Capital Territory, particularly in AMAC, to support ADC candidates in the upcoming elections, describing it as a crucial step toward political change.
“I encourage FCT voters, including those in AMAC, to vote for all ADC candidates in these elections. This would be the first step towards ousting the failed APC government,” he said.
“ADC is undoubtedly the party that will salvage Nigeria, and the surest bet is to start with Dr Mo and AMAC.”
His remarks come amid increasing political activities ahead of the local council polls in the FCT.
