Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted he would rather be in Arsenal’s position as the Premier League title race intensifies.
Despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford, Arsenal remain top of the table, sitting four points ahead of Manchester City.
Guardiola, who is preparing his side for an FA Cup fourth-round clash against Salford City, acknowledged that the title situation adds extra pressure on his team as they chase the leaders.
“I would prefer to be in Arsenal’s position than ours,” Guardiola told reporters.
“If I was four points in front, with 12 games left, I would not be relaxed.
“Imagine being four points behind, I am less relaxed.”
Arsenal will have the opportunity to extend their lead to seven points when they travel to face Wolverhampton Wanderersnext Wednesday, potentially increasing the pressure on City as the season enters its decisive stage.
