Major Lazer to Headline 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony

Global pop powerhouse Major Lazer is set to deliver the musical highlight of the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. The ceremony will take place in Verona and will be broadcast live on Sunday, February 22, at 2:00 p.m. ET, reaching a global audience as the Winter Games come to an end.

The group, led by Diplo alongside Walshy Fire, Ape Drums, and new member America Foster, is expected to perform a high-energy set featuring some of their biggest hits, including the Diamond-certified song Lean On.

In line with the scale of the Olympic stage, the performance is also expected to include surprise guest appearances drawn from the group’s wide network of collaborators, which has previously featured stars such as Beyoncé, Burna Boy, and Ariana Grande.

The Olympic showcase marks the beginning of a milestone year for the ensemble. Following the ceremony, Major Lazer will embark on their first major global tour in seven years, with stops across North America and Europe.

Their 2026 tour schedule includes appearances at Coachella on April 12 and 19, as well as headline performances at Ultra Music Festival on March 27. The group will also perform at Governors Ball on June 6 and Bonnaroo on June 12.

Their European run will include stops at Solidays on June 27, Pukkelpop on August 21, and Lowlands Festival from August 21 to 23.

The tour will also give fans their first opportunity to experience live performances from their recent mixtape, GYALGEBRA, featuring contributions from America Foster. Known for their dynamic stage production and genre-blending sound, Major Lazer appears poised to make a major impact on the 2026 festival circuit.
