50 Cent has once again taken aim at longtime rival Floyd Mayweather Jr., reacting to reports that the boxing legend is preparing to come out of retirement following an exhibition bout later this year with Mike Tyson.
According to 2Cool2Blog on Instagram, 50 allegedly responded after news surfaced that Mayweather had signed an exclusive deal with CSI Sports/Fight Sports. The G-Unit mogul reportedly mocked the move in a now-deleted post.
“Broke gotta box till ya drop champ, ain’t nobody gonna watch that s**t LOL,” he allegedly wrote.
The latest jab adds to a long history of online trolling between the two public figures. Recently, 50 also mocked Mayweather over his lawsuit against Showtime, which allegedly involves claims that his former manager orchestrated a scheme that cost him hundreds of millions of dollars. Despite the seriousness of the allegations, the rapper appeared unsympathetic.
Observers are now waiting to see whether Mayweather will respond to the latest alleged post or continue to ignore the provocations. Their feud, which has spanned more than a decade, shows little sign of cooling off.
For context, 50 Cent and Mayweather were once close friends and business partners. Their relationship reportedly soured after a proposed multi-million-dollar venture failed to materialize, leaving lingering tensions. Since then, 50 has repeatedly criticized the boxer over alleged financial troubles and literacy issues, even referencing him in a recent DoorDash advertisement.
The pair’s time as rivals has now far outlasted their brief period as collaborators, with many fans forgetting they were ever on good terms.
Beyond Mayweather, 50 Cent is also engaged in a separate, long-running dispute with Jim Jones of Dipset. That feud has recently centered on Jones’ Let’s Rap About It podcast and allegations of unpaid rent, further cementing 50’s reputation for keeping multiple online rivalries alive.
