Comedian and television host Sherri Shepherd is set to exit the daytime talk show space, as her series Sherri has officially been cancelled after four seasons.
The show’s producers, Debmar-Mercury, confirmed the decision on Monday, noting that Sherri had recently been cleared through the 2025–2026 television season across several major station groups, including Fox TV Stations and Nexstar.
In a joint statement, Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus emphasised that the cancellation was not due to poor performance or any issues related to Shepherd.
“This decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and does not reflect on the strength of the show, its production, or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd,” the statement read.
“We believe in this show and in Sherri and intend to explore alternatives for it on other platforms.”
Sherri premiered in 2022 as a replacement for The Wendy Williams Show, following the latter’s conclusion.
While it remains uncertain whether the programme will be picked up by another platform, the show is expected to wrap production at the end of its current run.
The development comes shortly after confirmation that The Kelly Clarkson Show will also be ending, underscoring the significant changes currently reshaping the daytime talk show landscape.
