“That Individual Will Be Made A Scapegoat” — Uzor Arukwe Threatens Legal Action Over BamBam Rumours

Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has broken his silence over what he described as false and defamatory claims linking him romantically to his colleague, Bamike Olawunmi, popularly known as BamBam.

Taking to X on Wednesday, Arukwe issued a stern warning to a social media user he accused of spreading damaging rumours about his professional relationship with the actress.

“A specific account has been identified to spread false rumors and baseless accusations about me and my professional engagement with another colleague in the industry. I choose not to quote the account directly, as I refuse to give such accounts the engagement they seek at the risk of jail time.

Believe me when I say this: that individual will be made a scapegoat so others learn to respect boundaries and refrain from chasing clout and Elon Musk money at the expense of damaging someone else’s reputation.”

His reaction follows online speculation that attempted to link him to alleged marital tension between BamBam and her husband, Tope Adenibuyan, known as Teddy A.

The rumours intensified after fans noticed changes in the couple’s social media activity, sparking unverified narratives across platforms. However, neither BamBam nor Teddy A publicly connected Arukwe to any marital issues.

Arukwe clarified that his association with BamBam remains strictly professional. Both actors starred in the 2025 Nollywood romantic drama Love in Every Word, produced by Omoni Oboli and directed by Stanley Obi. The film, released on YouTube, garnered millions of views, with audiences widely praising their on-screen chemistry.

While BamBam has yet to directly address the renewed whispers, Arukwe’s strong response signals that he is prepared to escalate the matter legally if the allegations continue.

For now, the actor appears determined to protect his reputation — and draw a firm line against what he describes as clout-driven speculation.
