Music executive Ubi Franklin has publicly declared his support for Bola Tinubu.
In a post shared on X on Friday, Franklin stated that his decision is a personal choice and part of his constitutional right.
“Dear friends, it’s your constitutional right to support whoever you choose. I’m supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for President,” he wrote.
Beyond the presidency, Franklin also endorsed several political figures in Cross River State. He threw his support behind Governor Bassey Otu, former governor Benedict Ayade for the Cross River North Senatorial District, Asuquo Ekpenyong for Cross River South, and Eteng Jones Williams.
The declaration came shortly after his attendance at a political gathering held at the “Asiwaju Command Center,” where he shared photos alongside associates, including Seyi Tinubu.
President Tinubu assumed office in May 2023 following his election victory. Since then, his administration has faced public debate over key economic reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidy and changes to the foreign exchange system.
Franklin’s statement has added to the ongoing political conversations as the country gradually shifts attention toward the 2027 elections.
