Kanye West Announces First Major US Show In Years At SoFi Stadium

Kanye West

Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has scheduled his first major concert in the United States in several years.

The rapper announced that he will perform at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 3, according to Variety.

A statement sent to fans on Monday described the event as his “only performance in Los Angeles.” Fans were also directed to his official website to pre-register for the concert by pre-ordering his upcoming album, Bully.

The announcement added: “A few lucky pre-registrants will be selected to receive free tickets.”

In recent years, Kanye West live performances have been limited as he faced backlash over controversial remarks made on social media and in interviews. Earlier this year, he performed in Mexico City and previously held several shows in South Koreaand China in 2024.

His last appearance at SoFi Stadium came during the Rolling Loud festival in 2024, where he joined Ty Dolla Sign for a listening party promoting their collaborative project Vultures 1.

The upcoming Los Angeles concert comes just months after Kanye West published a public apology in a full-page advertisement in The Wall Street Journal addressing “those I’ve hurt.” In the letter, he attributed his past behaviour to untreated brain damage and mental illness.

“It does not excuse what I did, though. I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people.” He also apologised to the Black community, writing, “I am so sorry to have let you down.”

The album Bully is currently scheduled for release on March 27.
