Actress Nia Long has gone to court seeking protection from a woman she says has been harassing her for over two years.
According to court filings, Nia is asking for a restraining order against a woman identified as Carrie McDonald, whom she describes as a stalker.
She says the woman believes they are in a romantic relationship, despite having no prior connection.
In documents obtained by TMZ, Nia claims the situation has been ongoing, with the woman allegedly sending unsolicited gifts, flowers, and cards over time, and showing up at her home in Los Angeles on multiple occasions.
The most recent incident reportedly occurred on March 21, when the woman arrived at her residence and rang the doorbell. Police were called, and she was arrested.
Nia also referenced an earlier incident in 2024, when the same woman allegedly came to her home in the middle of the night, demanding that she open the door. At the time, authorities issued a strong warning.
Given the pattern of behavior, the actress is now seeking court-ordered protection not just for herself, but also for her two children and her mother.
However, a judge has not yet granted the temporary restraining order. Instead, the request was denied for now, with a hearing scheduled for April, where the matter will be reviewed further.
The case highlights ongoing concerns around celebrity safety and stalking, especially when individuals cross boundaries and attempt to force personal connections that do not exist.
